How to use one Gmail address for multiple Twitter accounts the efficient way!

Earlier I saw the following tweet in my feed from Ingrid Riley:

It reminded me of another tip my friend Roger Pixley gave me about automatically filtering email using Gmail. Using Gmail you can autofilter your email address by attaching +(filtername) to your Gmail username. For example:

If you your email address is example@gmail.com then for twitter account 1 you can use example+twitter1@gmail.com

It will automatically forward all email from example+twitter1@gmail.com address to example@gmail.com. You can then create a filter for all mail from example+twitter1@gmail.com to label it, place it in a folder, let it dance on a table or any of the other options from Google. Basically just repeat this for all of your twitter accounts and voila, one email address, pre-labeled alerts and it satisfies twitter’s requirement for unique email addresses.
